As consumers become savvier about health related resources, and more
desirous of understanding their own, or family members' health conditions, it
is increasingly important to analyze and represent consumers' health related
information needs. There are many internet sites that provide health information for consumers and government and
research parties are moving toward implementing personal health records so that consumers can own and control their
health information. However, it is not always easy to understand the health information presented in many resources
including medical records. We are studying how to present the health information in more easy and understandable ways
using techniques and principles in health informatics. In particular, we are targeting to solve issues in personal health records in general , health literacy , readability , and representing the information needs of health consumers. Here, we share our works in those areas.
